Please see the gallery of new photos that were taken during the inspection of Killenard for a local Tidy Towns competition which we didn’t win but we scored very highly and received very positive feedback (see below) …. So maybe next year!!
National Tidy Towns competition results will be out on 9th September, so fingers crossed!
- Main street litter free. Kept to a high standard. Swept, neat, colourful, delightful flowers.
- One housing estate is chosen for inspection each year, this year it was Carriglea. Comments – No litter visible, kerbs kept to perfection. Excellent shrubs, red robin adds colour, grass cut. Lanterns are an added feature – beautiful area.
- Re Community Centre area – Oil drum left at bins plus 2 alcohol boxes & 1 large piece of plastic. Very tidy – well maintained.
- Overall Comment – Killenard is a beautiful village, great attention to litter. Shrubs colourful and well maintained. Kerbs/streets are swept. Flowers were in abundance, adds colour on a beautiful day.
