Killenard Tidy Towns are looking for Volunteers
The Tidy Towns 2013 programme of activities has already started and any help would be greatly appreciated. The inspection period began on 1st June so if you have an hour or two to spare at any time, please feel free to pick any of the jobs listed below.
Work to be completed:
- Sweep road edges & clear any weeds.
- Cut grass on any common areas including strimming of the edges.
- Collect any fallen leaves
- Sweep paths
- Collect any litter in the area
If you prefer, please contact Sandie O’Leary on 087 7651396 or any of the committee members (Deirdre Caher, Eibhlin Smith, Stephen O’Leary, Anne Cunningham, Amos McRedmond, Dervla Gutierrez, Enda Behan, Marian Finlay, Lucy Kelly, Struan Craig, Claire Tynan) and we will give you a job to do!!
If any anyone living adjacent to the summer flower beds has some time to spare and would like to volunteer to water the flowers during dry periods, please contact Sandie on 087 7651396. We REALLY need help with this.
We would like to reminder all dog owners to make sure to clean up after them!
If you are not able to get involved in any of the above, it would really help if you just continue to maintain the already high standard of your front gardens and maybe sweep the paths/road kerbs outside your homes. Maybe plant up a colourful pot or hanging basket on your property. Every little bit helps!
